Maintenance skills for the steering mechanism of the TY-160 bulldozer
Disassembly and installation of the connection plate of the central drive device
The connecting plate and the shaft are connected together through splines. The manufacturer installs them in place with a 30-ton press during installation, so disassembly is rather difficult. For this purpose, a special disassembly tool can be made according to the attached drawing. The small circular surface on the tool is in contact with the shaft end. It can be processed separately during manufacturing and then welded together with the large circular surface after centering. When in use, the two holes with a distance of 109mm are for pulling the connection plate, and the two holes with a distance of 142mm are for pulling the connection plate. Before disassembling, mark the corresponding positions of the connection plate and the shaft spline. During disassembly, pass two M20X85 screws with a strength of 8.8 grade through the O/ 22mm through hole on the pulling tool and screw them into the disassembly screw holes of the connection plate (or drive plate). The two screws should be tightened evenly to keep the puller parallel to the shaft end and prevent the puller from tilting and damaging the shaft end threads. When installing, do not change the position during press-fitting. After tightening with the shaft end nut, the original installation accuracy can be guaranteed.
(2) Disassembly of the sealing ring of the driving drum piston of the steering clutch
Select a stable and solid plane. There is mainly a force application point on the center of the steering clutch. Place a circular steel part with a diameter smaller than that of the piston on the plane. Steadily place the steering clutch downward on this steel part. Then, insert a circular steel part with a diameter similar to that of the inner hole of the pressure plate into the inner hole of the pressure plate and make it contact the driving drum. Then place a 55t jack on the circular steel part and align it with the force point above. Press the jack to move the driving drum down by 8mm. Remove the 8 screws on the pressure plate, then slowly loosen the jack to move the driving drum up. When the sealing ring is exposed, position the jack and remove the piston sealing ring.
(3) Cleaning and inspection of the piston sealing ring
The piston sealing ring is generally not prone to damage. The main reason for its damage is that the grinding debris and silt in the oil deposit in the ring groove, causing the piston sealing ring to be unable to expand under pressure and get damaged, resulting in a decrease in sealing performance. The dirt on the surface of the piston sealing ring can be scraped clean with the back of the hacksaw blade. After flipping it over and installing it, measurement and inspection can be carried out. At this point, the standard size of the contact surface diameter between the driving drum and the piston sealing ring should be 245mm, and the opening gap of the piston sealing ring should be 3.8 to 5.6mm. When it is less than 3.8mm, the opening size should be adjusted; when it is greater than 5.6mm, it cannot be used and a new part should be replaced. After the piston sealing ring is installed in the ring groove, the side clearance of the ring must be within 3.8 to 5.6mm, and should not exceed 0.6mm at most.
(4) Matters needing attention when assembling the steering clutch
When assembling the steering clutch, it is necessary to accurately locate the correct assembly position between the pressure plate and the driving drum. Qualified parts should be selected and marks should be made on the end faces of the pressure plate and the driving drum. If parts need to be replaced, it is best to do so in pairs to avoid assembly errors.
