Maintenance
How could such "neglect" exist
The catchy rhyme, "Scorching sun, sweltering days, only taking a walk in the middle of the night," conveys the heat of summer in no time. In terms of working conditions, the loader driver is sweating profusely at work, and their mood will unconsciously become irritable, even making them lose the necessary patience for loader maintenance. At this point, if the loader has some of the following minor problems, they will be easily overlooked.
First, the engine water temperature should not remain at a high level for a long time. If the water temperature gauge shows that the temperature is too high or there is a "boiling over" phenomenon, you can stop the operation and use idle speed to cool down until the temperature drops to the normal value. However, do not immediately turn off the engine during this period to avoid internal overheating of the engine and causing cylinder pulling accidents. After the temperature drops, the tightness of the engine belt should be checked. When adding water to the water tank, cover the tank cover with a wet towel soaked in cold water and then open the tank to prevent the steam from rising from injuring yourself.
Secondly, when driving on the highway at high speed, always pay attention to the condition of the loader. If you smell a burnt odor, immediately slow down and pull over to the side of the road to check if the brakes are smoking. If there is smoke, it indicates that the brake temperature is too high and you should stop to rest and check to avoid brake failure caused by excessive temperature.
Thirdly, inspect the water pump - fan drive belt. After long-term use, the belt may become fatigued, deformed or loose, reducing the cooling effect. When replacing the belt, it is important to choose the correct model and length. After installation, adjust the tightness of the belt correctly.
Fourth, in order to prevent themselves from being exposed to the sun, some drivers will raise the loading boom to shield the cab. However, this can easily cause the piston rods of the oil cylinders to be directly exposed to the sun and quickly become hot. The cylinder itself will also generate high temperatures during operation. The combination of the two will accelerate the aging of the oil seal in the cylinder. Therefore, in order to extend the service life of the oil cylinder and save yourself some unnecessary expenses, try to retract the piston rod of the oil cylinder during rest to avoid direct exposure to the sun.
Fifth, when performing daily maintenance on the loader, it is necessary to promptly clean the dust and dirt on the surface of the battery, as well as the oxides on the terminals and wire joints. The vent holes should be kept unobstructed, and the battery should be securely fixed.
Finally, in summer, do not put lighters, perfumes, air fresheners and other items in the car to be exposed to high temperatures and direct sunlight, as this may cause explosions that injure people or vehicle fires.
