Maintenance
Here are 5 major points to pay attention to when working on rainy days.
1. Observe the road conditions
When working in the rain, one must pay close attention to the road conditions. After the rain, the soil gets wet and becomes extremely slippery. When working on a slippery ground, one must be aware of the surrounding environment and always keep a close watch to avoid the machine getting too close to the edge of cliffs or ditches. If the ground in these places is soft, it is very likely to cause the machine to fall or tip over. Due to the reduced coefficient of friction, when the loader is pushing and shoveling materials, it can use a small throttle to maintain stability and reduce the damage to the tires caused by slippage.
2. Pay attention to anti-slip measures and install anti-slip chains in advance
It is best to install anti-skid chains on the loader when necessary to increase the grip of the tires. However, it is important to ensure that the tire pressure is sufficient, the wheel hub and wheel width match the size of the anti-skid chain, and the driving speed should not be too fast after installation. Sudden acceleration or deceleration can cause damage to the anti-skid chain.
3. Pay attention to keeping the parking area dry
During the rainy season, it is best to park the machine in a dry garage and try to avoid parking it in a damp environment. Rust prevention operations should be carried out for indoor storage. If the machine is to be parked for a long time, it should be started and driven once a month to charge the battery, wipe off the grease on the piston rod, and apply grease to all components.
When parked outdoors, it is necessary to check whether the fuel tank and hydraulic tank covers are tightly closed to prevent rainwater from seeping into the tanks. You can put a plastic bag over the tank opening for simple protection.
4. Clean in time
After working during the rainy season, it is essential to pay attention to cleaning the dirt off the machine and keeping it lubricated to prevent rust. Also, be cautious of the contamination of lubricating oil and fuel by rainwater.
5. Equipment maintenance
Pay attention to checking the filter element of the air filter to prevent rainwater from entering and causing the filter element to deteriorate and get damaged or clogged.
Pay attention to checking the condition of the sealing ring on the engine oil dipstick. If there is any wear, replace it in time. Also, check the oil filling port.
Pay attention to checking the condition of each wire end of the starter. If there is any looseness or rust, deal with it or replace it in time.
Pay attention to checking the condition of the generator to prevent the line joints from getting damp, which may affect the power generation effect.
During the rainy season, the climate is changeable and the construction conditions are complex. One must be extremely cautious. Pay attention to the road conditions when operating and do a good job in vehicle maintenance on a regular basis. Do not be careless.
