Brand-new naming method

Firstly, the naming convention for the Lynx R series products has changed. Take the first two skid steer loaders, S76 and S86, as examples. Compared with the three-digit numbers of the M series, the R series has been changed to two-digit numbers.

The initial "S" still represents a skid steer loader, and the first number from left to right will indicate the frame size of the machine. The larger the frame size of the machine, the larger this number will be. As you can see, S86 is greater than S76.

A more powerful lifting arm

The redesigned lifting arm of the Lynx R series loader is more robust. Combined with the upgrade of the power and hydraulic systems, it can provide a stronger lifting force and a higher lifting height, making its advantages more obvious during lifting operations.

As shown in the two pictures below, the Lynx R series has redesigned a lifting point and moved its link to the rear of the machine, which has significantly enhanced the overall capacity of the lifting arm.

When you move to the front of the machine, you will also notice that the front view of the loader's lifting arm has changed, the flat seams have been removed, the operator's field of vision is better, and the construction safety has been enhanced. Meanwhile, the lifting arm strength of the R series skid steer loaders has been increased by 20%, making them more resilient and durable.

Brand-new cab design

The new cab is more spacious with a larger interior space. When sitting in the cab to work, the noise around your ears is lower. The shock-absorbing seats filter out most of the vibrations, making it less tiring to work.

The R series is equipped with a standard 5-inch LED color display screen as standard, allowing real-time monitoring of various operating statuses of the equipment. It can also be optionally equipped with a 7-inch touch screen display, making its functions even more powerful. The integration of more functions such as the camera, Bluetooth connection, and accessory usage instructions (optional) makes your usage more convenient and simple.

The interior space has been re-arranged

Lift the cab of the R series loader and you will find that the Bobcat has adjusted the layout here, which is more conducive to maintenance and upkeep.

Here, you can easily access the maintenance and inspection of hydraulic and electrical components. The battery is located in the left front corner of the machine, while the fuse box, relay and control unit are on the right side. The brand-new lift arm design also provides a larger maintenance space, allowing maintenance operations to be carried out even without lifting the lift arm.

Performance improvement

Turning to the rear of the machine, one of the most notable changes is the tailgate. For the R series skid steer loaders, the redesigned tailgate incorporates steel louvers, which enables air to flow through the tailgate, through the engine and upward through the radiator, providing better cooling for the engine compartment and enhancing performance.

This system is supported by a larger fan and a higher-capacity radiator. The fan is approximately 50% larger, achieving better cooling at a slower rotational speed, reducing engine temperature and lowering overall noise.

The R series skid steer loaders not only adopt environmentally friendly engines installed in line but also feature a direct drive system. It is driven by a drive coupler, providing outstanding performance. Meanwhile, the chain box of the R series has now been moved to the outside of the R series frame, and this change provides a better access for maintenance.

The R series adopts a redesigned and improved fuel system. The new fuel module system can make more efficient use of every drop of fuel in the fuel tank and maintain high efficiency even when the fuel level is very low. This not only enhances the production efficiency of each fuel tank but also improves the performance at low fuel levels when working on slopes.

The new type of fuel booster pump and self-priming fuel system can continuously expel air from the engine and return it to the fuel tank for exhaust, thereby eliminating the need to start the fuel injection ball and making the operation more convenient. This system can also function if the fuel tank runs out.

The improved fuel recirculation valve is located in the fuel system circuit and is designed to return warm fuel to the booster pump to reduce fuel gelation problems. This method has been proven to be more effective than electric heaters and can keep the machine running in extremely cold conditions.

The size of the diesel filter has more than doubled, and a transparent water bowl has been added for easy monitoring. The enlarged filter size extends the filter's lifespan and provides better system protection, as the increased capacity can capture impurities for a longer time, doubling the filter's service life.
