First of all, the machine must be operated by professionals, and the operation manual should be read carefully.

2. The main working parts of the machine are composed of milling cutters, bearings, gaskets and milling drums. During operation, due to prolonged friction with the road surface, this part wears out the fastest. Regular replacement and inspection can better extend the service life of the machine.

3. The milling cutter shaft should be inspected daily. If the grooves ground on it exceed 25% of the shaft's diameter, it should be replaced. Generally speaking, the service life of the tool shaft is half that of the tungsten steel milling cutter. In terms of square area, its lifespan is approximately 350 to 500 square meters when the milling depth is 5mm. However, please be extremely cautious. There are many factors that can affect the lifespan of the knife shaft, so it is necessary to check it every day.

4. For safety reasons, before conducting maintenance, the spark plugs of the engine should be removed first. It is best to have it done by a qualified mechanic.

5. Before each operation, check the oil level and clean the air filter after use.

6. Grease should be added to the bearings every 4 hours of use. When applying grease, rotate the milling drum while applying it to ensure the grease spreads throughout the entire bearing.

7. Before each operation, visually inspect the machine: Are all fasteners tightened? Are there any obviously worn or cracked parts? Is the fuel supply line in good condition? Check the bearings, check whether all the protective covers are covered, etc.

8. Before each operation, check the tightness of the belt. The new belt should be readjust in terms of tightness after running for 4 hours. It is essential to maintain an appropriate belt tightness to transfer the engine's output horsepower to the milling cutter drum. A belt that is too tight will wear out easily and also shorten the lifespan of the bearings. If there are any breaks or severe wear on the belt, it should be replaced immediately.

9. Generally speaking, cracking of milling cutters is very rare. If it does occur, it usually indicates the following situations: a: The milling cutters on the milling drum are irregularly arranged; b: The single milling is too deep; c: Using inappropriate milling cutters to remove different types of road surfaces; d: The strength of the milled surface is too high;

10. Each time the arrangement of the milling cutters is changed, check the milling cutter shaft and bearings. If there are worn grooves on the shaft, a new one needs to be replaced. When replacing the shaft, the bearings should also be replaced at the same time.

If properly maintained, the milling drum can usually be used for three months. When milling the milling cutter or performing maintenance, check whether there are cracks in the center shaft bar of the milling drum, whether the shaft sleeve hole has become elliptical, and whether there are cracks at the weld seam. If any damage is found, a new drum must be replaced.

12. Finally, when you want to check the milling drum at the bottom of the milling machine, please note: The machine must be turned forward and never backward, otherwise the engine oil will flow back into the engine cylinder.
