Provide support for customers' energy transition.

Caterpillar is committed to helping customers achieve their sustainable development goals by providing targeted solutions, meeting their specific needs in different regions, construction sites and other situations.

Among them, battery-powered electric equipment is one of the many solutions launched by Caterpillar. The four prototypes of the equipment to be exhibited this time include: CAT® 301.9 mini excavator, CAT 320 medium excavator, CAT 950 GC medium wheel loader and CAT 906 compact wheel loader.

These devices are powered by Caterpillar prototype batteries and also include a vehicle-mounted AC charger. In addition, Caterpillar also plans to offer off-board DC fast charging options.

Caterpillar has the strong ability to help customers achieve their sustainable development goals, including reducing carbon emissions at construction sites. Tony Fassino, Group President of Caterpillar's Construction Division, said: "Today, on the path of sustainable development, it is crucial that we share the same goals with our customers and move forward hand in hand." We are committed to providing customers with a wide range of products and solutions, including equipment powered by renewable fuels and devices equipped with fuel efficiency improvement technologies, and supporting customers in achieving their future goals through the new generation of power-driven equipment.

The batteries designed by Caterpillar for these devices are also suitable for other industrial applications. The lithium-ion battery series developed based on mature Caterpillar technology adopts a modular design, which can provide flexible configuration across multiple applications. It can also be expanded according to the battery performance requirements of industries and customers, thereby achieving a high degree of sustainability throughout its entire life cycle, including recycling and reuse at the end of the usage period.

Joe Creed, Group President of Caterpillar's Energy and Transportation Division, said:

Based on our in-depth experience in system integration, our meticulously designed electric products can meet customers' expectations for the performance of Caterpillar products. At both the product and operation site levels, we are committed to helping customers optimize the energy life cycle, enabling them to gain more value while reducing total operating costs.

It is expected that the CAT 301.9 mini excavator and the CAT 906 compact wheel loader will be the first commercial models.
