The structural design and geometric shape of the hammer head have a significant impact on its mechanical properties and internal metallographic structure after heat treatment. Especially for hammerheads with large thickness dimensions, the impact is more prominent. Through the analysis of the failure forms of hammer heads made of different materials, it can be known that the main reason for the breakage of hammer heads is the existence of defects of varying degrees inside or on their surfaces. Due to the existence of defects, most of the hammer heads break in the early stage of use. Therefore, in the production of hammer heads, it is necessary to formulate reasonable casting and heat treatment processes.

2. Technical parameters of hammer crushers

The technical parameters of the hammer crusher also affect the service life of the hammer heads, among which the main ones are the power and rotational speed of the rotor. They not only relate to the production capacity of the crusher, but also to the degree of hammer head impact hardening. If the hammer head has a good degree of impact hardening, its service life will be prolonged.

3. The size and hardness of the crushed material

The larger the block size of the material, the higher the requirement for its toughness, and the higher the hardness of the material, the higher the requirement for the hardness of the hammer head material. The specific model of the crusher should adopt an appropriate feeding particle size, which will to a certain extent extend the service life of the hammer heads.

4. Adjustment of the internal clearance of the hammer crusher

The internal clearance of a hammer crusher mainly refers to the clearance between the rotor body, the impact plate and the hammer head. The dimensions of these gaps will be related to whether there is material accumulation near the discharge port and the safety door. If there is material accumulation, the hammer head will suffer severe friction and wear. Therefore, during the usage process, the clearances of each part must be frequently adjusted to keep them within an appropriate range.
