Maintenance
What measures can be taken to reduce the wear of cylinder liners in loaders?
To reduce the wear of cylinder liners, in addition to taking anti-corrosion and wear-resistant measures in design and manufacturing, the following points should also be noted during use and maintenance projects:
1. Correct start-up and starting
After starting the cold engine, it should be warmed up with a small throttle for 3 to 5 minutes before starting to drive. At the beginning of operation, it should work under a small load for a period of time. Only when the temperature rises can it be operated under a large load.
2. Maintain the normal temperature of the engine
If the temperature of a diesel engine is too low, it cannot maintain good lubrication, which will increase the friction on the cylinder wall. If the temperature is too high, it will reduce the strength of the cylinder and accelerate wear. It may even cause the piston to expand excessively, resulting in a "cylinder pulling" accident. The normal operating temperature of a diesel engine is 80℃ to 90℃. When the temperature exceeds 95℃, the load should be reduced or the machine stopped for cooling.
3. Maintain good lubrication
Regularly check and maintain good engine oil quality, with an appropriate oil level. Replace it regularly and select engine oil of appropriate viscosity according to the season to ensure good lubrication.
Strengthen the maintenance of the "three filters" (air filter, oil filter and diesel filter)
This is the main measure to prevent mechanical impurities from entering the cylinder, reduce cylinder wall wear and extend the service life of the engine. This is particularly important for diesel engines used in loaders that are often exposed to high dust content.
5. Enhance maintenance, repair and quality
Carry out maintenance and repair operations strictly in accordance with the technical standards stipulated in the diesel engine's operation and maintenance manual. Adjust and control each fit clearance (opening clearance) to prevent accelerated wear between the piston and the cylinder wall due to improper maintenance and repair.
