First, ask the boss or the operator about the overall maintenance of the vehicle: when to replace all the filter elements, when to replace all the oil products, when to replace the coolant and other maintenance items; Look for the maintenance schedule of the vehicle. If not available, ask the boss or the operator. If conditions permit, it is necessary to do the check yourself.

For instance, machines are prone to derailment, deviation and so on. There is another case. A certain brand of excavator has been experiencing severe deviation due to weak movement. One day, the driver was not around. The boss asked someone to help drive the flatbed truck. The person asking for help didn't understand that there was a problem with the machine's movement. After starting the machine, it moved hard and almost half of the tire fell off the flatbed truck. After struggling for a long time, it still couldn't get off. Later, after waiting for an hour, the driver came and managed to drive the machine down. If the person invited to help get off the flatbed truck had asked clearly about the performance of the excavator and paid special attention to the walking precautions, such an accident could have been completely avoided.

Thirdly, ask the boss or the operator if there are any special circumstances at the construction site: Generally, there are many special circumstances during municipal construction. When it comes to the repair of pipes and cables under the street, if one is not careful, the water pipes and cables may be dug up and broken. If such an incident occurs, a considerable amount of compensation will have to be paid.

Fourth, record the working hours and handle the signing of shift records and other on-site issues properly: After making detailed records of the above points, it is best to have the boss or the operator sign them.
