What are the precautions for the maintenance and repair of excavators?

1. Do not apply butter randomly
The main functions of butter are lubrication and sealing. Therefore, sometimes during maintenance, butter is applied to the cylinder gasket, believing that this can enhance the sealing performance of the diesel engine. But this approach is actually wrong.
If grease is applied to the cylinder gasket, when the cylinder bolts are tightened, some grease will inevitably flow into the cylinder. The remaining grease on the outside, after being affected by high temperatures, will also cause a certain gap between the cylinder gasket, the cylinder head and the plane of the engine block. The ultimate result is that the original sealing performance of the cylinder gasket is reduced.
Second, never never change the engine oil
Engine oil plays a particularly significant role in construction machinery. I believe that all the fans have added it in accordance with the standard requirements. However, another very important point is that the quality of the engine oil needs to be checked regularly and deteriorated oil should be replaced. If engine oil is only added for a long time without being changed, many components of the engine will operate in a poorly lubricated environment, resulting in wear far exceeding the normal state. In addition, during the operation of a diesel engine, a lot of dirt will also enter the engine oil. If the engine oil is not changed regularly, it is very likely to cause accidents such as bearing seizure and shaft seizing.
Iii. The cylinder liner and piston products should be assembled first and then installed
When using new cylinder liner and piston products, it is necessary to carefully check the specific dimensions of the accessories. If the dimensions of the new cylinder liner and piston products are ignored, it is very likely to cause a mismatch between the cylinder liner and the piston products. When the largest-sized cylinder is matched with the smaller-sized piston, the gap between the two will be too large, resulting in weak compression.
Four. Do not heat the piston with an open flame
During the installation of the piston pin, the piston should be heated and expanded first, but it is not advisable to directly place it over an open flame for heating. Because the thickness of each part of the piston is uneven, when it is heated over an open flame, it will be heated unevenly, and eventually it is prone to deformation. So, the correct way to heat is to put the piston into the hot oil for heating.
V. Do not use sandpaper to grind the bearing shells
Scraping the bearing shells is a relatively highly technical task in the maintenance of construction machinery. Many mechanics, due to their own insufficient skills, will directly use sandpaper to polish during the process of scraping the bearing shells. However, during the process of grinding with sandpaper, the sand grains on the sandpaper are extremely likely to embed into the alloy, accelerating the wear of the diesel engine journal.
