Maintenance
The use and maintenance of rice machine tracks
The service life of rubber tracks for combine harvesters largely depends on the working environment and usage methods. It is essential to attach great importance to the prevention of early wear of rubber tracks. The methods are as follows:
I. Working Environment
Rubber tracks should be kept away from various oils such as engine oil, diesel, and grease, as well as from chemicals like acids, alkalis, salts, and pesticides.
Rubber tracks should avoid traveling on sharp rocks, steel bars or uneven ground as much as possible. If traveling a long distance, a transport vehicle should be used for transfer.
Ii. Correct Usage Methods
Rubber tracks should be rinsed in a timely manner after use to prevent corrosion and wear.
During driving, sharp turns should be minimized as much as possible. Sharp turns can easily cause the wheels to come off and damage the tracks. They can also lead to the guide wheels or guide rails hitting the core iron, causing the core iron to fall off.
Regularly inspect the wear conditions of the drive wheel, guide wheel and support wheel. When the drive wheel is severely worn, the gap between the drive wheel teeth and the core iron will increase during meshing transmission, generating a greater impact force. In severe cases, the core iron may be hooked out. Severely worn drive wheels, guide wheels and support wheels should be replaced in a timely manner.
It is not advisable to walk at an Angle on a slope, cross a bridge, walk by rubbing against the edge of steps, or forcibly climb steps. These abnormal behaviors can all lead to damage to the track patterns, core iron breakage, track edge cuts, and steel cord breakage, among other abnormal damages.
Pay attention to the adjustment of the tension of the rubber tracks. The rubber tracks must maintain a normal tension and should not be too loose or too tight. If the tension is too loose, it can cause the tracks to derailment. If it is too tight, it can cause the tracks to generate excessive tension, resulting in track elongation, changes in pitch, and high-pressure surfaces in some areas, accelerating the wear of the core iron and drive wheels. During use, regular inspection and adjustment should be carried out. When making adjustments, it should be done on a flat and hard surface. Adjust to the specified gap.
