How much do you know about fuel-saving tips for excavators?
Reduce engine speed: If your workload is not very urgent and you are working with someone else, it is still recommended that you try to lower the engine speed as much as possible. This way, it can indeed reduce fuel consumption and also allow one to work for a few more days. Since the work is calculated by the shift anyway, why not do it? Of course, if it's one's own job, it's counted as work. Well, it's better to end it as soon as possible.
Reduce the rotation Angle: In fact, rotation is very fuel-consuming because the excavator cab is not light and it rotates more than once during loading. So, when loading the truck, make sure it is placed in the position with the least degree of rotation. In this way, you will find that you can save a considerable amount of fuel in a day.
Reducing the engine speed when walking: This is very easy to understand. The faster the engine rotates, the more fuel is consumed when moving. In fact, it is generally advisable to keep the excavator moving as much as possible.
Carry out high-position excavation: Why is it said that high-position excavation can save fuel? In fact, this is quite understandable. Which is more effortless, asking you to pass something up or asking you to pass something while standing on a stool? The same goes for excavators. The less effort they consume, the lower their fuel consumption will be.
Try to dig at a 90-degree Angle: I believe that as long as everyone has taken theoretical classes, both the books and the teachers should have covered this. But in real life, there are really not many people who go to school to learn technical skills. Most of them are self-taught and learned from private masters, so they have less theoretical knowledge. A 90-degree excavator means that the bucket can be used with the maximum force. Just like digging with your hands, only by digging straight is it the most effortless.
When digging a trench, start with the sides first: I believe many diggers haven't paid attention to this detail at all. Everyone also prefers to dig the middle first. Little do they know that when doing trenching work, when digging the middle first, the things that fall from the bucket always run to the sides, and they have to dig several more times to clear them.
Control the depth of excavation well: When digging, if you encounter a trench that needs to be dug very deep, you can dig it in three layers: upper, middle and lower.
If everyone can achieve the above, I believe the fuel consumption of your excavator will also be astonishingly low.
