The Yuchai YCK16 equipped with a crawler excavator has been tested to save 13% in fuel consumption in a 5,400-meter-high plateau mine

A certain metal mine located in Mizhugongka County, Lhasa, Xizang Autonomous Region, has an altitude as high as 5,400 meters. The Yuchai YCK16 engine, when paired with the Zoomlion ZE700GC crawler excavator, was operating at this mine site. YCK16 is a high-end power system developed by Yuchai for the mining market. It can meet the emission regulations without post-treatment and can output a maximum of 775 horsepower. It is suitable for 75-90 ton crawler excavators and 90-100 ton mining trucks. It has significant advantages such as good loading response, high reliability, low fuel consumption and low maintenance costs.
