How to maintain mining equipment in high-temperature weather
From July to August every year, most areas of our country experience consecutive days of extremely hot weather, and high-temperature warnings occur frequently. Nowadays, summers are getting hotter year by year. The beautiful landscapes of our motherland are all presenting a strange scene of being so hot that they turn purple. It can be said that the whole nation has entered the "high-temperature hell" mode together.
Despite the sweltering heat, many mining projects are still ongoing. Because the working environment in mines is usually open and spacious, once the temperature is high, there is "nowhere to hide", and it is impossible to cool off and escape the heat. Liebherr wants to say here to the miners who are still working on the front line: You have worked so hard!
In addition, as high-temperature environments can also bring many difficulties to the use of construction machinery, it is particularly important to do a good job in high-temperature protection of mechanical equipment. "A workman who wants to do his job well must first sharpen his tools." Liebherr offers you a few tips to protect your equipment in hot weather:
1. Maintenance and upkeep of mechanical equipment
To protect equipment, one should start by checking for its "problems". Carry out comprehensive maintenance and repair of construction machinery, replace the "three filters" and engine oil of the engine, replace or adjust the belts, check whether the performance of the fan, radiator, generator and compressor is reliable, and carry out maintenance, repair or replacement when necessary.
2. Ensure that the cooling system is operating normally
For machinery operating in high-temperature areas, it is necessary to ensure that the heat dissipation system operates well. If it can cool down, many problems can be reduced. The viscosity grade of the engine oil can be appropriately increased, and at the same time, check whether the cooling system and fuel system are unobstructed. Clean the oil stains and dust on the engine body to ensure that the engine is clean and tidy with good heat dissipation. For certain specific engines, it is advisable to consider switching to summer oil with an appropriate amount and frequently check for any oil leakage.
3. Flexibly utilize natural cooling
Park the equipment in a shady place as much as possible to avoid direct sunlight. Reduce the tire pressure appropriately to prevent a blowout. This summer, by combining forced cooling with natural cooling, the integrity rate of equipment during high-temperature operation can be significantly improved.
