1. Repair of wheel discs

If the bearing holes for installing bolts are worn, the roundness error is greater than 1.5mm, or the bearing surfaces of the tire bolts are uneven, they can be repaired by surfacing welding.

2) Cracks between bolt socket holes or large holes can be repaired by welding.

3) If there is any weld separation or loose rivets at the connection between the spokes and the rim, they should be re-welded or re-riveted.

4) If there are cracks on the rim, they can be repaired by welding.

2. Wheel hub repair

When the wear of the inner and outer bearing housing holes of the wheel hub exceeds 0.05mm, it should be repaired by chrome plating.

2) Uneven wear of the oil seal seat hole or dents larger than 0.15mm can be repaired by welding.

3) The circumferential surface in contact with the brake hub should be flat. When the circular runout of the hub centerline is greater than 0.1mm, it should be repaired by turning.

4) When cracks appear on the brake hub of the wheel hub, bevels can be made, welded and then turned flat.

When the internal thread of the fixed half shaft bolt hole is damaged, it can be surfacing welded and then re-drilled and tapped.

When the circular runout of the end face in contact with the half shaft flange does not exceed 0.1mm, it should be corrected.

3. Tire damage and repair

Forklift tires come in pneumatic tires and solid tires. The tire inflation pressure must be in accordance with the original factory-specified standard and must not be too high or too low. If it is too high, the elasticity of the tire will decrease and the thread layer is prone to breakage. Low air pressure can cause severe deformation of the tires, increase the temperature, lead to delamination or breakage, and may also cause the outer tire to move on the rim and wear the bead. In severe cases, the valve stem of the inner tube may be torn.

When the outer tire has damages such as cracks, holes, blisters or delamination, it should be repaired or refurbished according to the specific situation.

When there are continuous cracks around the outer tire body, the tread rubber has been worn off and there are large holes, the tire body line layer has annular cracks and the entire circle is separated, it should be replaced.

(2) When small holes are found in the inner tube, hot or cold patching can be carried out.

1) Hot patching: File the area around the damaged inner tube rough. Apply the fire patching adhesive to the damaged area, ensuring that the small hole is exactly at the center of the adhesive. Then, align the tire patching clamp with the fire patching adhesive, tighten the screw to press it down, and then light the heating agent on the fire patching adhesive. Wait for 10 to 15 minutes, and it will bond tightly.

2) Raw rubber patching (cold patching) : File the area around the inner tube rupture rough, apply raw glue, and wait until the surface of the glue is slightly dry before applying a second coat of glue. Once the glue is air-dried, attach the prepared raw glue to the rupture, apply pressure and heat it to 140-145℃, and keep it warm for 10-20 minutes to allow the raw glue to vulcanize. After cooling, it can bond tightly.

The inner tube is severely folded and cracked and cannot be repaired. Aged, sticky and deteriorated; If the deformation or cracking is excessive, it can be scrapped and replaced with a new one.
