Maintenance
Important operation and maintenance tips for excavators before starting work in spring
Check before startup
1. Check the fuel level of the excavator and handle the drainage of the fuel tank.
2. Check the oil level and quality of the excavator engine oil.
3. Check the hydraulic oil level, rubber hoses and the quality of the hydraulic oil of the excavator.
4. Check the oil level and quality of the gear oil in the rotary reducer of the excavator.
5. Check the oil level and quality of the traveling reducer of the excavator.
6. Check the coolant level and inspect all water pipes for any cracks or water leakage.
7. Check whether the grease in the bearings of the slewing mechanism is sufficient.
8. Check whether there is sufficient grease in the rotating large gear ring.
9. Add grease to each pin shaft and lubrication point. If necessary, squeeze out the old oil from the oil passage.
10. Check whether the engine floor MATS are in good condition.
11. Check the tension of the fan belt and the engine belt to see if they have aged.
12. Check the tension of the tracks.
13. Check the working condition of the detection instruments.
14. Check the tightness of the bolts.
"Operation check"
When the ambient temperature is below 3℃, turn on the preheating switch before starting the machine to preheat it.
2. Before starting the machine, remove the oil inlet pipe of the turbocharger and add an appropriate amount of engine oil to ensure the lubrication of the turbine shaft.
3. Start the equipment and let the engine idle for 5 to 10 minutes. Operate without load until the hydraulic oil temperature reaches 40℃. Repeat the full hydraulic function several times before proceeding with the construction.
4. If the equipment is not used for a long time, the thin oil layer on the sliding surface may be damaged. It is necessary to circulate the walking and rotating hydraulic functions 2 to 3 times to lubricate the sliding surfaces.
5. In freezing weather, before moving, first turn the upper frame to a 90-degree position, support the tracks, and idle it a few times front and back to remove the soil and impurities around the idler wheels, support wheels and guide wheels.
6. Drain and discharge water from the oil-water separator.
