All set to go! XCMG's National IV mining excavators are coming with a bang
The overall fuel consumption of the machine has been significantly reduced, and the operational efficiency has been further upgraded
The National IV emission standards have put forward specific requirements for particulate matter, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides. Based on this, XCMG has upgraded the fuel system of its engines, further enhancing the fuel combustion efficiency and significantly reducing the overall fuel consumption of the machines. At this point, users may be concerned about a question: Compared with the previous National III mining excavators, how does the National IV product perform in the market? Let's take a look at the performance of XCMG's 70-ton, 80-ton and 95-ton mining excavators.
All set to go! XCMG's National IV mining excavators are coming with a bang
The XE700GA (National IV) is equipped with a 4.0 rock bucket as standard in Aksu, Xinjiang. It has an average daily attendance of over 20 hours, with an effective working time ratio of more than 90%, and has safely operated for over 4,000 hours. It adopts a single-pump dual-loop independent cooling system, achieving zero fan speed at low temperatures, low noise and low fuel consumption. Compared with the XE700DF (National III), this National IV product has a 5% increase in operation efficiency, a 6% reduction in operation fuel consumption, and a 2% decrease in maintenance costs. It is a mining excavator with an extremely high cost performance.

The XE800GA (National IV) has a newly upgraded hydraulic system, with an additional 15% increase in operational efficiency. It is equipped with a 5.6 rock bucket from Ordos, with an average daily operation time of over 21 hours and an effective working time ratio of over 90%. It has a monthly production capacity of 300,000 cubic meters, with a fuel consumption of 0.1 per cubic meter, which is 12% lower than that of the XE800D (National III) and 2% lower in maintenance costs. A problem-free expert in getting rich!
The XE950GA (National IV) has an average daily attendance of over 22 hours, with an effective working time ratio of more than 92%. It has been reliably operating for 18 months. Compared with the XE950DA (National III), its operational efficiency has increased by 6%, fuel consumption during operation has decreased by 4%, and maintenance costs have dropped by 3%. One XE950GA mining excavator, when paired with two XDR80T mining dump trucks, can fill one truck with 7 buckets. It only takes 5 minutes at the fastest to fill two mining trucks, maximizing efficiency.

XCMG's National IV mining excavators have been comprehensively upgraded. The performance parameters have been significantly improved, and the operation efficiency has been greatly enhanced, earning high praise from customers.
The DOC + DPF + SCR post-treatment device is adopted to purify the exhaust gas through multi-stage filtration
The exhaust gas components emitted by the engine contain particulate matter (PM), ammonia oxides (NOx), and hydrocarbons (HC). This after-treatment device can effectively reduce these exhaust gas components to below the emission standard limits. DOC, also known as oxidation catalyst, is installed at the outlet of the engine exhaust pipe as the primary filtration device for exhaust gas. Its main function is to convert carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) in the engine exhaust into harmless water (H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2) through oxidation reactions.
DPF, also known as diesel engine particulate filter, is used to adsorb particles and other substances in exhaust gas to prevent them from being directly discharged into the atmosphere and causing environmental pollution. Of course, the volume of a DPF is limited. When the capacity of carbon particles reaches the limit, they will be burned off by heating the exhaust gas. This method is also known as "regeneration". Unlike many original equipment manufacturers (Oems), XCMG's after-treatment devices do not require shutdown or the addition of other sensors for monitoring. The engine will monitor in real time and select an appropriate time point for regeneration. The entire process proceeds spontaneously, and users do not need to spend extra effort on manual maintenance and upkeep of the post-treatment device, which is very convenient.
SCR, also known as Selective Catalytic Reduction device, mainly uses nitrogen oxides (NOx) in untreated exhaust gas. In simple terms, its working principle is to use selective catalytic reduction technology. Under the action of post-treatment catalysts, urea solution is injected into the exhaust gas to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen gas (N2) and water (H2O).

The post-treatment frame is optimized to enhance air convection and prevent the post-treatment temperature from being too high
Unlike the simple muffler exhaust system structure of the National III products, the National IV replaces it with a post-treatment assembly. Due to the large number of sensor wiring harnesses, the temperature requirements for the post-treatment are also different. The urea nozzles and sensors in the post-treatment device have high temperature requirements. If they work in a high-temperature environment for a long time, their service life will be greatly shortened. In response to this, XCMG's National IV models have upgraded the after-treatment frame to enhance the air convection inside and outside the cabin and control the after-treatment temperature within a reasonable range to protect the after-treatment device.

New delayed shutdown and delayed power-off functions have been added to protect the urea nozzles and the post-treatment system
This time, the National IV products have added a function of delayed engine shutdown. That is, when the engine is about to shut down, it will work for an extended period of time before stopping. The purpose of this is to protect the urea nozzle and prevent its service life from being affected due to excessive temperature.
The so-called delayed power-off refers to the situation where, when the engine is about to stop working, the urea solution in the urea pipe and the after-treatment device will be pumped back into the urea tank. During the pumping process, the indicator light will turn on and off. Only when the indicator light goes out, that is, the pumping process is completed, can the power be cut off. The entire process lasts for 1 to 2 minutes, with the aim of protecting the post-treatment system and preventing the urea solution from remaining in the urea pipes, which could lead to pipe rupture due to cold weather.

The overall layout of the machine is more reasonable, with both appearance, level and space utilization being in line
The brand-new XCMG National IV product features a newly added urea tank designed inside the tool box, which is convenient for users to add urea and also easy for later inspection. Meanwhile, we have provided users with sufficient space to store tools, so there is no need to worry about occupying the space of the tool box at all.

The post-treatment system is arranged in the cabin instead of the muffler, with a reasonable spatial layout and excellent coordination.
The exhaust corrugated pipe is equipped with an insulating sleeve to prevent the electrical components from being damaged due to excessively high engine room temperature.
