XZ13600 Horizontal Directional Drilling rig

The diameter of the backhauled pipeline is 1,422mm, with a total length of 1,150 meters. It took a total of 11 hours. This is a masterpiece of XCMG XZ13600 horizontal directional drilling rig in the pipeline crossing project in Caofeidian, Tangshan.

Facing complex geological conditions, the world's largest horizontal directional drilling rig, XCMG XZ13600, remained calm and composed during construction.

The strata for reaming holes are mostly sandy soil layers, and the process crosses fish ponds and nearby roads. According to the on-site construction personnel's feedback, the average construction efficiency is one drill pipe every 12 minutes. When pulling back, the starting pulling force is 300 tons. Considering the pressure that the gas pipeline bears, the pulling force will basically stabilize at 200 tons in the later stage.

At present, XCMG has the XZ series of horizontal directional drilling RIGS with push-pull forces ranging from 120KN to 13,600kN, which can meet the requirements of all-round trenchless construction. The product features a high degree of automation and environmentally friendly, efficient construction. It can lay various communication, power, oil and natural gas pipelines with high quality without excavating the ground surface.

Inclined shaft drilling rig

In the deep mountains of Zunyi, a customer used a customized XCMG XSD3600 inclined shaft drilling rig to complete the diagonal and directional crossing construction. It only took 7 days to complete the guide hole crossing!

The construction involves laying natural gas pipelines from the mountainside to the foot of the mountain, with a diameter of 1200mm and a length of 300m. The construction stratum is rock, and the designed crossing Angle is 45°. The breakthrough hole needs to be connected to the pre-completed horizontal tunnel at the foot of the mountain, which has high requirements for the construction stability and guiding accuracy of the inclined shaft equipment.

Traditional pipeline laying involves mountain excavation, causing significant environmental damage and low construction efficiency. XCMG Foundation customized green construction products such as inclined shaft drilling RIGS and green construction techniques for customers, avoiding the drawbacks of mountain excavation for pipeline construction and ensuring the green mountains and clear waters.

The XCMG Foundation XDN2000-S pipe jacking machine successfully connected the sewage interception and diversion of the Paihe River in the Hefei South-to-North Water Diversion Project with a diameter of 2.4 meters and a distance of 1,187.5 meters, marking the first time in China.

Underground pipeline laying, as an important component of the sewage interception and diversion water quality protection project, has the highest technical difficulty in pipe jacking construction within the entire project. The section between No. 6 and No.5 Wells, which was the last to be constructed, is 1,187.5 meters long and has the longest span. XCMG pipe jacking machines have overcome challenges such as lubrication and drag reduction technology in ultra-long-distance pipe jacking, the coordination ability among multiple sets of Repeaters, communication, power transmission, measurement during long-distance construction, and harsh pipeline construction conditions, achieving high-quality breakthrough in the longest section distance of the pipe jacking machine.

At present, XCMG pipe jacking machines have developed a series of products with diameters ranging from 300mm to 4000mm and well completion supporting facilities. While promoting the construction of domestic drainage pipelines and urban pipe galleries, they have been successfully exported to countries such as Malaysia, Tanzania, Vietnam, Thailand, Brazil, and Oman, contributing to the construction of global pipe networks and rainwater and sewage diversion projects.

For the civil construction of the Zhengzhou section of the Zhengzhou Airport to Xuchang Intercity Railway Project, in the 02 contract section, the No. 1 exit of Sidongsun Station is participating in the construction with XCMG XDT50*70 rectangular pipe jacking machine.

XCMG XDT50*70 is the first fully hydraulically driven rectangular pipe jacking machine in China. Under the geological conditions where the pipe jacking construction mainly involves unfilled soil and clayy silt layers, with significant jacking resistance and high difficulty in soil improvement, XCMG technical support personnel innovated the jacking method, promptly corrected the jacking direction of the pipe jacking machine, and improved the quality of control over the pipe section elevation and axis deviation during the pipe jacking process. It ensured the smooth breakthrough of the pipe jacking operation.
