The renowned international construction machinery exhibition "bauma 2022", jointly developed by Komatsu and Moog Corporation of the United States, will be held in Munich, Germany from October 24th to 30th, aiming to accelerate the realization of a safe, efficient, intelligent and clean future-oriented site. As a concept model of a small wheel loader, to achieve full electrification of the walking and working device movements, this machine adopts electric cylinders and motors manufactured by Moog Company. Meanwhile, due to the use of battery-driven mode, it realizes zero exhaust emissions. The electrification system of this machine consists of an electric motor for walking, an electric cylinder for operating the working device and controlling the entire machine, as well as a battery management system, etc. The electric components installed in various parts of the vehicle body are controlled by the control system. Through their coordinated actions, the all-electric walking system and the working device system are enabled to operate, achieving efficient energy supply and high operability. Using fully electric loaders for operations, whether indoors or outdoors, there is no need to worry about noise and exhaust fumes anymore. Not only is the comfort better, but it can also be used in a wider range of places than ever before.

After bauma 2022, Komatsu and Moog will jointly conduct empirical experiments on this concept aircraft to verify its operational efficiency, operational time, and comfort, among other aspects. Full electrification is expected to be achieved with longer working hours. Meanwhile, the auxiliary operation functions realized through electrification are also expected to contribute to reducing operator fatigue and the burden of daily management work.
