Maintenance of the air filter of the stabilized soil mixer
As the stabilized soil mixer is mainly used for on-site mixing of base and base stabilized soil, the working environment is harsh, with dust flying around the site. The air filter is prone to clogging. If not cleaned in time, it can easily cause engine wear and a decrease in power.
At present, almost all domestic stabilized soil mixers are equipped with Chongfa Cummins NTA855 series engines. The air filter model is CA1077 (the filter element adopts the AF891M filter element produced by Shanghai Fliejia Filter Co., LTD.). This air filter is a two-stage dry air filter. In the first stage of the filter, large dust is separated by centrifugal force. They are collected in a dust collector. The dust in the collector can be thoroughly removed by the user by opening the dust bag opening regularly. In the second-stage air purifier, there is a treated paper filter element to filter out the remaining dust from the intake air. Here is a brief introduction to the maintenance of the air filter of the stabilized soil mixer.
During daily work, it is necessary to manually empty the dust collector at regular intervals, that is, to apply a slight pressure to open the dust bag and remove the accumulated dust.
(2) Unscrew the butterfly nut, gently remove the main filter element. When cleaning the paper filter element, gently tap the end face to make the dust fall off. It is best to use compressed air or a pump to blow air from the inner cavity of the filter element outward for cleaning. (Note: Do not place the air nozzle too close to the filter element to remove the dust adhering to the outer surface of the filter element and effectively prevent splashed dust from entering the inner surface of the filter element. For engines that operate in relatively humid areas for a long time, the air filter element is also prone to moisture and dust clogging, with poor air permeability and affecting the intake volume. Before cleaning the filter element, it should first be dried with a light bulb and then cleaned. To prevent the filter element from being damaged.
(3) After multiple cleanings of the filter element, cracks appeared at the seams, the filter housing was deformed, it could not be sealed after assembly, the sealing gaskets at both ends of the filter element were not sealed with the housing, the filter element bracket was deformed and assembled improperly, and the interface outside the intake pipe was not sealed, etc. All these problems can cause short circuits in the intake air. Therefore, during maintenance and repair, it is necessary to ensure the normal condition of all the above-mentioned parts, and replace and repair the aged, deformed, damaged and components in time. The tightening force of the butterfly nut of the filter element should be appropriate and not too tight to prevent the filter element from being crushed.
(4) The safety filter element does not require maintenance. If the main filter element leaks, the safety filter element adheres to a lot of dust, or after 500 hours of normal use, the safety filter element should be replaced.
(5) Do not clean the paper filter element with water or diesel or gasoline, otherwise the pores of the filter element will be blocked, increasing the intake resistance.
In conclusion, during the operation of the stabilized soil mixer, it is essential to pay attention to the correct use and maintenance of the air filter. Otherwise, it will lead to premature wear of the engine cylinder, which in turn causes air and oil leakage in the engine, reduces power, and forces the engine to undergo major overhauls prematurely, causing serious economic losses to users.
