How to inspect the main mechanisms and components of a crane?
1. When inspecting the reducer, mainly check if it is leaking oil. When there is an abnormal noise inside the box during operation, the box cover should be opened for inspection. It is generally caused by reasons such as bearing damage, excessive side clearance of gear meshing, and severe wear of the tooth surface.
2. Check the performance and condition of the brake. The brake is an important component on a crane, directly affecting the accuracy and reliability of the movement of each mechanism. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully inspect the conditions of the brakes of the hoisting and luffing mechanisms, and observe the opening degree of the brake shoes and the wear of the friction elements, brake pads. For belt brakes, it is necessary to check whether there are cracks in the steel backing of the brake band, whether the transmission of the brake is flexible, whether the brake frame is intact, and whether the elasticity of the main spring and auxiliary spring meets the requirements.
3. Inspection of steel wire ropes. When inspecting steel wire ropes, special attention should be paid to observing broken wires, wear, kinks, rust and other conditions. For some positions where wear and broken wires are relatively severe but have not yet exceeded the standard, marks should be made for key tracking and re-inspection. It is necessary to pay attention to checking whether the safety limiters of the steel wire rope in the drum are effective, whether the steel wire rope pressure plates on the drum are tightened and whether the number of pressure plates is appropriate.
4. Inspection of the pulley. The key points lie in whether the wear at the bottom of the groove exceeds the standard and whether there are cracks in the cast iron pulley. For the balance wheel of the hoisting mechanism pulley block, since it does not move under normal circumstances, it is very easy to be overlooked. Therefore, before installation, it is essential to check the flexibility of its rotation. Otherwise, during installation, the length and tension of the left and right hoisting steel wires cannot be automatically adjusted through the balance wheel, which will increase the difficulty and risk of adjusting the hoisting rope at high altitudes.
5. Check whether each coupling is loose or even has "rolled keys". Pay special attention to checking whether the elastic rubber ring of the elastic pin coupling is abnormally worn. For the gear coupling, pay particular attention to the wear condition of the gear ring. Due to poor installation accuracy, when there is a large offset between the two shafts, it is manifested as the entire gear ring wearing out very quickly within a short period of time. If such a situation occurs in the hoisting mechanism, serious accidents are likely to happen
