The Use and troubleshooting of torque converters

When using a torque converter, the key is to correctly select the working oil. It should be the same type of oil as the torque converter, so the usage requirements of both should be taken into account, and the oil specified in the manual should be used as much as possible.

2) The torque converter should avoid operating in the low-efficiency zone as much as possible. It is necessary to ensure its operation in the high-efficiency zone by timely gear shifting. This way, on the one hand, it saves fuel consumption, and on the other hand, it prevents the working oil temperature of the torque converter from being too high. The oil temperature is generally controlled at 85-100℃ and must not exceed 120℃.

3) Torque converters generally do not require maintenance during use. A common fault is that the rotary sealing ring wears out due to long-term use, causing leakage. When the leakage is severe, it will affect the operation of the torque converter and must be replaced. In addition, the oil circuits of the torque converter compensation and cooling systems may also malfunction, resulting in insufficient system pressure or poor oil supply. This can lead to cavitation or overheating of the working oil. Only the faults need to be repaired.
