The uses of this type of excavator are diverse. It can be equipped with various working devices to perform various forms of overhead excavation, inversion and soil and rock loading work. Single-bucket excavators can be classified according to their usability, bucket volume, power working device and traveling device. According to the bucket volume classification, it can be divided into four categories. Small (with a bucket capacity generally less than 1.3 meters), medium (with a bucket capacity of 1 to 5.3 meters), large (with a bucket capacity of 5 to 15.3 meters) and giant (with a bucket capacity exceeding 15.3 meters). According to the form of driving power, it can be divided into three types: electric drive, internal combustion drive and compound drive. Compound drives are mostly diesel engines - hydraulic drives. According to the differences in the walking support devices, they can be classified into rail type, track type, tire type and step type.
Electric shovels are widely used in mines. The main safety precautions for using an electric shovel are:
(1) Electric shovel drivers must pass the examination, be familiar with and strictly follow the technical operation procedures of electric shovels. It is strictly prohibited for one person to operate.
(2) When the electric shovel is in operation, no one is allowed to get on or off the electric shovel. No one is permitted to loiter, walk through or work within the operation area.
(3) When the electric shovel is in operation, maintenance, servicing and any inspection work are strictly prohibited. If necessary, the machine can be stopped for handling.
(4) When inspecting and handling electrical equipment, the power supply to which it belongs must be disconnected. Live work is strictly prohibited and a maintenance sign must be hung.
(5) It is strictly prohibited to operate on cables and high and low voltage
