Since its reorganization and reform in 2018, Sinotruk has entered a fast lane of high-quality development. Since the beginning of this year, in the face of the impact of the epidemic and other factors, the domestic heavy truck industry has experienced a sharp decline. According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the sales volume of domestic heavy trucks in the first three quarters decreased by 58% year-on-year. Despite the downward pressure on the industry, Sinotruk's market share in heavy trucks increased by 4.35 percentage points compared with the same period last year, rising to the top of the domestic industry. This fully demonstrates the strong resilience brought about by the reorganization and reform.

Among them, foreign trade exports have made outstanding contributions to Sinotruk's rise to the top of the industry. From January to October this year, Sinotruk exported 76,000 heavy-duty trucks, a year-on-year increase of 54%, accounting for more than half of China's industry exports. Especially in the expansion of overseas high-end markets, new breakthroughs have been continuously achieved. High-end heavy-duty truck products such as SITRAk and HOWO T series have received unanimous praise from overseas customers. The export sales volume of high-end heavy-duty trucks in the first three quarters increased by 258% year-on-year. The annual export volume of Sinotruk's heavy trucks has risen from 30,000 units in 2020 to 50,000 units in 2021, and it is expected to exceed 100,000 units this year.

Ricardo Melesio, the sales director of Aite Company in Mexico, said in a live interview that Sinotruk's heavy-duty trucks are very popular in Mexico. The vehicles are of good quality, high cost performance and prompt after-sales service. Especially Sinotruk's high-end heavy-duty truck models, the number of vehicles in Mexico is increasing at present. Sinotruk, made in China, is really great!
The breakthrough of Sinotruk in the international market can be traced back to a series of innovative and reform measures taken by Shandong Heavy Industry and Sinotruk over the past four years since their reorganization. The reform of the three systems, the separation of main and auxiliary businesses, the marketing system reform, independent and forward-looking research and development, and the layout of a full range of commercial vehicles have accelerated the competitiveness of Sinotruk products towards the first-class level, endowing them with stronger anti-cyclical capabilities than those in the same industry.
