Lubricating oil and hydraulic oil

Please use them differently according to the following table based on the different external temperatures: The standard engine oil model of IHI is SAE10W-30, and the hydraulic oil is ISO-VG46.

Battery

In cold seasons, when starting the machine, the discharge current is relatively large, and the performance of the battery declines. Sometimes, when over-discharging, the battery fluid may freeze. Fully charge the battery and keep it warm so that you can start the machine the next morning.

Do a good job in preheating the mechanical equipment

For an engine, when starting at low temperatures, due to the high viscosity of the engine oil, it will cause insufficient supply of lubricating oil in a short time and fail to cover all lubrication points, resulting in damage to the engine. So, after starting the engine, it should idle for a period of time. Only when the water temperature rises can the load be increased. The preheating of the hydraulic system is the same. When the temperature is too low, the viscosity of the hydraulic oil increases, making it difficult to draw in oil and resulting in insufficient oil pumping volume, which affects the force and sensitivity of the actuating elements. If the load is added at this time, due to the excessive negative pressure, it may cause damage to the hydraulic pump and at the same time lead to insufficient lubrication of the hydraulic components, shortening their service life. Therefore, it is essential to do a good job in preheating.

Strengthen equipment inspection and maintenance work

When the temperature drops, the sealing parts at the oil cylinders and hydraulic pipe joints of the equipment will crack and shrink, resulting in poor sealing and leakage. The transmission connection parts and bolts will also be affected by the low temperature, causing a decrease in strength and rigidity, such as water leakage from the water seal cover on the engine side, loosening of the screws on the transmission shaft, and detachment of the pin connection, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance inspections, promptly identify problems, eliminate minor hazards, and prevent major malfunctions. At the same time, maintenance work should also be strengthened. At low temperatures, the fluidity of grease is poor, and grease should be replenished in a timely manner. Strict inspections should be carried out before and after work every day to prevent human accidents, ensure the normal operation of equipment and guarantee the smooth progress of winter construction.

The main matters after the completion of the assignment:

Please remove the soil, water and other debris attached to the hydraulic cylinder rod to prevent damage to the sealing parts of the hydraulic cylinder rod.

2. Please park the machine on a dry ground or lay wooden boards on the ground to prevent the walking parts from freezing.

3. Please open the drain valve of the fuel tank to drain the accumulated water to prevent the fuel from freezing.
