Sany Heavy Industry: Here comes the practical sharing of National IV excavators! The earlier you see, the earlier you know!

Starting from December 1, 2022, the National IV emission standards for non-road vehicles have been fully implemented. As the leading product in the excavator industry, Sanyi and Sanyi excavators have gradually entered the construction sites of both new and old customers. In order to enable our new and old customers to better utilize the equipment that meets the National IV emission standards, we will introduce the post-treatment system of the National IV small excavator model through three videos in the following.

Technical route

All the three-in-one and four-in-one small excavator models (over 7 tons) are equipped with DOC oxidation catalytic converters, DPF diesel particulate filters, and EGR exhaust gas recirculation systems. The selection of fuel and engine oil is of vital importance for all products that meet the National IV emission standards. The correct choice of oil products helps the engine and after-treatment system operate stably for a long time, reduces the frequency of regeneration, shortens the regeneration time and the economic losses caused thereby.

Introduction to DPF Regeneration

DPF regeneration refers to the process of burning off the carbon particles in the DPF filter element by increasing the exhaust temperature through fuel injection. There are usually several forms such as automatic regeneration, manual regeneration, and service regeneration. Generally speaking, the automatic regeneration mode can meet the regeneration requirements of DPF. The triggering of manual regeneration or service regeneration is often closely related to the quality of the fuel and the operation of the operator.

Post-processing "regeneration" precautions

Essentially, DPF, like the oil filter and fuel filter we are familiar with, is a type of filter, but its replacement cost is higher. Therefore, during the use of National IV equipment, special attention should be paid to the quality of fuel and oil, and necessary operations should be carried out in a timely manner when different regeneration modes occur
