As the weather gets warmer, spring ploughing and sowing preparations are about to begin. So, what should be done with agricultural machinery before spring sowing?

I. Preparations before Broadcasting

Before sowing, carefully inspect the condition of the plot to have a clear understanding and ensure the quality of the operation and the safety of the machinery.

(2) Stock up on seeds, fertilizers and vulnerable mechanical parts to avoid delaying sowing and missing the farming season.

⑶ The seeds must be dry and clean, and must not be mixed with straw, stones or other debris to avoid blocking the seed discharge port and affecting the quality of sowing. When doing precision sowing, the seeds must be strictly selected and the fertilizer must be thoroughly cleaned; otherwise, it will affect the quality of sowing and fertilization.

⑷ Place the seeds and fertilizers in an appropriate position at the edge of the field to avoid wasting time when adding seeds and fertilizers.

Ii. Precautions for Sowing

When the sowing machinery is in operation, it is necessary to avoid stopping as much as possible. When it is necessary to stop the machine, the seeder should be raised and moved back a certain distance before sowing. When lowering the seeder, make sure the tractor is moving slowly. When the furrow opener is inserted into the soil, the seeder must not move backward to prevent clogging or damage to the furrow opener.

When turning at the edge of the field, the seeder should be raised, the power of the seed distributor and fertilizer distributor should be cut off, and the rowers and furrow openers should be raised.

⑶ The mechanical hand should constantly observe the operation status of the seeder during the operation, especially paying attention to whether the seed distributor is discharging seeds. Whether the fertilizer discharger discharges fertilizer; Check if the seed and fertilizer delivery pipes are clogged. Whether there are sufficient seeds and fertilizers in the seed box and fertilizer box, etc.

After sowing a crop, the seed boxes should be carefully cleaned to prevent seed mixing, which may cause seed discharge failures, resulting in seed waste and causing difficulties and troubles for future field management. After sowing is completed, the fertilizer discharge box should be cleaned in time to prevent corrosion of the machine.

When sowing seeds contaminated with pesticides, the sowers should wear protective gear such as gloves, masks and goggles. The remaining seeds should be properly and promptly disposed of to prevent environmental pollution and harm to humans and livestock.
