Maintenance
What should I do if the excavator won't start?
Check the battery terminals
If the battery terminal becomes loose, it will lead to poor contact. Insufficient voltage will also cause the excavator to fail to start. Therefore, the battery terminals should be inspected first. Clean the battery terminals thoroughly and then tighten the screws of the terminals. Those who have the conditions can use the voltage range of a multimeter to check the battery voltage.
If the battery is not faulty, the next step is to check the wiring. Check the battery's wiring once to see if there are any broken lines or loose joints.
Check the relay box and the fuse box
After inspecting the battery terminals, the next step is to check the starting relay and the fuse box. Open the relay box, check if the connector is loose, and then open the fuse box to check if the fuse in the starting circuit is burned out.
In addition, faults in starting the motor or generator can also cause the engine to fail to start. Among them, generator failure will cause the generator to be unable to generate electricity normally, and the battery power cannot be replenished, thereby resulting in low starting motor speed or stopping rotation.
