How to do the daily cleaning and maintenance of Schumacher straw choppers
The daily cleaning and maintenance of Schumacher straw choppers should be systematically carried out from five aspects: cleaning, lubrication, tightening, inspection and storage. The specific operation points are as follows:
I. Daily Cleaning: Remove residues to prevent clogging
Clean up immediately after work
Remove the residual straw debris, grain residues and other materials in the crushing chamber to prevent them from clumping and blocking the internal channels of the equipment due to moisture, which may affect the efficiency of the next operation.
Clean the oil stains, dust and debris on the surface of the equipment with a clean cloth or brush to prevent corrosion of the metal parts.
Key areas to be cleaned
The inner wall of the blade guard: Remove the soil layer in time to prevent increased load and accelerated blade wear.
Inner wall of the side panel: Clean up any residual soil to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
Inner wall of the shell: Ensure the working volume and prevent soil accumulation from affecting the crushing quality.
Ii. Lubrication and Maintenance: Reduce wear and extend service life
Lubrication of key parts
Bearings: Use lithium-based grease (high-speed grease), and add it once per shift (10 hours of operation) to ensure smooth rotation of the bearings.
Universal joint crosshead: Apply sufficient grease on time to prevent wear and transmission failure.
Drive shaft telescopic sleeve: Apply grease to reduce friction and wear.
Lubrication precautions
Clean the oil filling port to prevent impurities from mixing into the lubricating oil.
Regularly check the oil level of the lubricating oil and replenish or replace it in time.
Iii. Fastening Inspection: Prevent loosening and ensure safety
The connecting parts are tightened
Regularly check the tightness of all connecting bolts and nuts, especially those that have become loose due to vibration after long-term operation.
Tighten the loose parts with a wrench to the specified torque to ensure a firm and reliable connection.
Inspection of transmission components
Belt tension: Adjust to an appropriate state. If it is too loose, the transmission efficiency will decrease; if it is too tight, it will accelerate the wear of the bearings.
V-belt wear: Check the contact condition between the working surface and the pulley groove surface, and replace the worn or damaged belt in time.
Iv. Component Inspection and Replacement: Maintain performance and prevent malfunctions
Blade inspection and replacement
Wear condition: Check whether the cutting edge of the blade has become dull, has notches or cracks. Sharpen it in time with a whetstone. Replace the blade with a new one if it is severe.
Group replacement: When the knife is worn to the point where two-thirds of the blade is lost, the entire set should be replaced to ensure the dynamic balance of the knife shaft.
Weight classification: When replacing the blades, the weight difference within the same group of blades must not exceed 10 grams to prevent vibration or damage caused by imbalance.
Inspection of other components
Screen: Check for any damage, holes or deformation to ensure uniform particle size of the output.
Gearbox: Check the sealing condition. There should be no oil leakage at the static joints and no oil dripping or leaking at the dynamic joints. Replace the paper gasket or oil seal in time.
Breathing hole: Check whether the breathing hole of the gearbox is unobstructed. If it is blocked, clear it in time.
V. Storage Management: Rust and moisture prevention, protecting equipment
Short-term storage
After the work is completed, place the equipment on the pre-padded object and park it in a dry place to avoid hanging it.
Loosen the belt. Do not use the ground pulley as the support point to prevent the belt from deforming.
Long-term storage
Rust prevention treatment: Apply anti-rust oil or grease to parts with relative movement such as blades and pins.
Elevated storage: Use wooden blocks to prop up the equipment to lift the blades off the ground and prevent deformation.
Environmental requirements: Store in a dry and well-ventilated indoor area. If stored outdoors, rain-proof facilities are required.
