Creating Future Legends: Caterpillar Invites the world's top operators to participate in the Global Operator Challenge

On December 9, 2024, in Irwin, Texas, USA - Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) launched the third Global Operator Challenge, inviting thousands of operators worldwide to use a variety of engineering equipment and technologies to compete in terms of operational flexibility, resilience and technical comprehensiveness.

Tony Fassino, the group president of Caterpillar responsible for the construction industry, said: "For nearly a hundred years, Caterpillar's customers have been using our equipment to push the limits." The Global Operator Challenge helps to showcase and promote the outstanding skills of professional players in this important industry. Their dream is to create a future legend and become the world's top pilots.

The over 140 Cat® agent competitions held in the 2022-2023 season attracted more than 10,000 contestants from 32 countries and regions. Compared with the previous season, the 2025-2026 season plans to host more events and attract more players from more countries and regions to participate.

We are inviting pilots from all over the world

From January to September 2025, the participating pilots will take part in the first round of local qualifying competitions held by global Cat agents. The preliminary round will require contestants to complete at least three different challenge items on no fewer than three different devices. The scoring will be based on the contestants' skills, safety, efficiency, and their proficiency in using integrated technologies that can enhance the performance of the equipment, such as the Cat Payload weighing system, Cat Grade slope control, and EOU intelligent technology functions.

In the autumn of 2025, the winners of the local agent selection competition will advance to the regional semi-finals. In March 2026, nine regional semi-final winners will participate in the grand final held by Caterpillar in the outdoor area of the CONEXPO exhibition in Las Vegas, known as the "Operator's Arena". The winner of the finals will receive a cash prize of $10,000 or the opportunity to take a two-person trip to any of Caterpillar's global operating locations at an equivalent value.
