Requirements and safety regulations for forklift repair operations
The requirements and safety regulations for repair operations are respectively introduced as follows:
1. Requirements for repair work
All important parts must be thoroughly cleaned and blown clean with compressed air before assembly.
2) All defects on the processing contact surfaces of parts that affect quality should be rectified.
3) The flat washers, spring washers, cotter pins, safety gaskets, etc. used for bolts and nuts should be fully assembled as per regulations.
4) If the main bolts are deformed or elongated, they should be replaced. The threads of the bolts should extend out of the nut by one to three threads. Generally, the thread of a bolt is allowed not to be lower than that of the nut. Under the condition that it does not hinder use, it can extend more than three threads out of the nut.
5) For all nuts and bolts with specified tightness, they should be tightened with a torque wrench as prescribed.
6) Used copper sheets, iron sheets, asbestos gaskets, paper gaskets and cork gaskets, etc., can still be used under completely suitable conditions. All kinds of gaskets must not be painted.
7) Before assembly, the leather oil seal must be immersed in a mixture of equal parts of engine oil and kerosene heated to 60℃ for 5 to 8 minutes before it can be used. Rubber oil seals should be coated with gear oil at the friction parts. When installing, the outer periphery of the iron shell and the seat ring of the oil seal should be coated with zinc white paint.
8) The machined surfaces of machine parts must not be directly struck with an iron hammer; instead, soft metal plates or spacers must be placed underneath.
9) Hydraulic pumps, hydraulic distributors and hydraulic steering devices should be inspected. Only after testing can they be partially or completely disassembled for maintenance.
10) For the welding of wires, rosin should be used as the flux; acid solution must not be used as the flux.
2. Safety rules
When disassembling the lifting device, it should be hung on the lifting equipment, then the connecting parts should be disassembled and removed, and pulled forward and upward to separate it from the frame.
2) When conducting repairs under the vehicle, a sign reading "Under Repair" should be hung. The parking brake should be tightened and the wheels should be blocked with triangular wooden plugs.
When using a jack to lift a vehicle, the jack should be placed stably and the person should be on the outside of the vehicle. When supporting the vehicle, a support stool should be used. It is strictly forbidden to use bricks or other easily broken objects to support the vehicle.
4) After the wheels are lifted and removed with a jack, no work is allowed on or under the vehicle.
5) When lowering the wheels with a jack, check if there are any obstacles around and if there is any risk of being crushed. Open the hydraulic switch slowly.
6) Before starting the engine, check the engine oil in the oil pan, the coolant in the radiator, whether the gearshift lever is in neutral position, and apply the parking brake tightly.
7) The vehicle being adjusted or tested should have a complete starter. When starting the engine with a hand crank, the fingers should be on one side of the handle and lifted from bottom to top to prevent injury from counterattack.
8) During the test, any support, tightening or adjustment operations carried out to eliminate defective conditions are strictly prohibited.
9) When starting the engine for inspection and adjustment in the workshop, the doors and Windows should be opened to ensure good air circulation.
10) When testing the engine, do not work under the vehicle.
After the engine starts, it is necessary to check whether all the instruments are working properly.
