Troubleshooting common faults of various components of the motor grader
1. Engine
(1) The engine cannot be started. ① There is air in the diesel suction pipe of the engine. You can use a hand oil pump to release the air. ② The battery has a significant loss of power and should be charged. ③ The starter is damaged and should be replaced.
(2) If the engine operates normally at idle but stalls when the throttle is increased, it is usually due to a clogged diesel oil suction filter or pipeline, which should be cleaned.
2. Transmission - torque converter system
(1) Set the operating pressure to zero or lower. ① Check the oil level and add No. 8 hydraulic transmission oil as required. ② Check the oil suction filter screen and fine filter, and clean or replace them. ③ Check the control valve and the four paper gaskets, and clean or replace them. ④ Inspect the variable-speed pump, disassemble for inspection or replace it.
(2) There is no pressure or the pressure is low in a certain gear. ① Check the control valve and paper gasket, clean or replace them. ② Check the two clutches corresponding to this gear and replace the damaged parts.
(3) The operating pressure is normal, but the motor grader does not move. ① Check the gear selector fuse and install the fuse. ② Check the gear selector and the corresponding circuit, and replace the damaged parts.
(4) The operating pressure is normal, but the gear positions are confused. Check the solenoid valve and replace it with a new one.
(5) If the oil temperature of the torque converter rises too quickly, in addition to checking the oil level, it is also necessary to check whether the speed pump and the inlet and outlet pressures are normal, and whether the heat dissipation of the cooling system is good. If necessary, adjust the inlet and outlet pressures and the V-belt, and clean the radiator.
3 Working hydraulic system and service braking system
(1) If all the multi-way valves controlling the left lifting cylinder do not operate and the brake fails (no pressure), check the working pump and replace it with a new one if necessary.
(2) All the multi-way valves controlling the left lifting cylinder have no action, but the braking system is working normally. Clean the corresponding safety valve on the combination valve. If necessary, adjust the system working pressure to 13 MPa.
(3) Control all the multi-way valves of the right lifting cylinder to be inactive. Clean the corresponding two safety valves on the combination valve. If necessary, adjust the system working pressure to 13 MPa or 18 MPa, or replace the pump with a new one.
(4) When the left and right lifting cylinders are in motion and shake, clean the hydraulic lock. Replace the sealing parts; Check the throttle valve.
(5) If the rotary ring has difficulty rotating, check whether the motor and worm gear box are working properly, and whether the axial and radial clearances of the rotary ring are reasonable. Add lubricating oil to the guide rail.
(6) Automatically tilt the front wheels to clean the hydraulic lock and replace the damaged parts.
(7) Check the hydraulic lock and cylinder when the lifting hydraulic cylinder sinks, and replace the damaged parts.
(8) The brake is locked and cannot move. Clean the brake valve.
(9) If the brake fails but the working system operates normally, clean the brake valve and pressure-limiting valve, and adjust the system pressure to the normal value. Atlas air compressor parts
(10) When the steering automatically deviates, clean the oil replenishment valve or replace it with a new one.
4 Steering system
(1) Steering failure ① Check the oil level in the hydraulic oil tank and add hydraulic oil if necessary. ② Check the steering pump. Disassemble and inspect or replace it if necessary. ③ Check the steering gear, adjust the system pressure or replace it with a new one.
(2) Adjust the working pressure of the steering heavy system or replace the steering pump.
