Allison's hydraulic torque converter can smoothly increase the engine's torque, thereby providing more powerful output, enhancing the overall performance and handling flexibility of the vehicle, while avoiding the common clutch wear in manual transmissions. The only daily maintenance required is to regularly replace the filter elements and oil approved by Allison, which can keep the transmission at its best performance. The hydraulic retarder helps control the vehicle speed, reducing the wear of the braking system while allowing the driver to select the most suitable operation mode based on the actual road conditions. In addition, the transmission offers two operation modes: power and economy. The power mode can enhance the climbing ability under heavy loads and reduce unnecessary gear shifts. The economic mode achieves fuel savings by shifting gears at lower engine speeds.

Its input and output functions, such as retarder request and gear shift suppression, CAN be connected through CAN communication. Key operation information is broadcast in real time on the CAN bus, facilitating safety monitoring in unmanned supervision rooms.
