China's high-power non-road engines with a capacity of over 56 kilowatts have passed the Euro V certification for the first time!

The two non-road engines, YCA05-S5 and YCF36-S5, developed and produced by Yuchai, have successfully passed the fifth stage (referred to as Euro V) emission regulation certification test of the EU e-mark, obtaining the pass to enter the European market. This is also the first time that a high-power non-road engine of 56 kilowatts or more in our country has passed the Euro V certification.

The Euro V emission regulation is currently the strictest emission standard for non-road mobile machinery engines in the world. It came into effect in Europe in 2019. This regulation not only requires non-road engines to meet strict emission limit requirements, but also demands full verification of technical indicators such as the emission control zone, the regeneration coefficient of the post-treatment DPF, the cryogenic test of the post-treatment SCR at minus 19 degrees Celsius, as well as basic emission control strategies, auxiliary emission control strategies, NOx control diagnostic systems, and particulate matter control diagnostic systems.

After conducting a special investigation relying on the European R&D center, Yuchai completed the development of the non-road Euro V engine after more than a year of technological development and bench emission test experiments. On April 25th of this year, the two series of engines, YCA05-S5 and YCF36-S5, completed on-site verification at the National Engineering Laboratory for High-Efficiency, Energy-saving and Environmentally Friendly Internal Combustion Engines of Yuchai by authorized eyewitness engineers from the Ministry of Transport of Luxembourg.

Test data shows that the exhaust emission indicators of Yuchai YCA05-S5 and YCF36-S5 engines are far below the emission limit requirements and have passed the Euro V emission certification test to a high standard. This also means that the emission control technology of Yuchai's non-road engines has reached the world's most advanced technological level.

It is reported that both the Yuchai YCA05-S5 and YCF36-S5 engines adopt an efficient SCR control strategy, featuring outstanding power performance, economy and reliability. They are compatible with construction machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, air compressors and drilling RIGS, as well as agricultural equipment like tractors, corn harvesters, wheat harvesters, rice harvesters and silage harvesters. It can meet the diverse needs of different customers. At present, many domestic and overseas customers are interested in matching this series of models, and some manufacturers have already carried out technical cooperation.
