On November 1st, 2022, the MAN Cloud Fuel Saving Competition was officially launched online. This competition will last for 21 days. After a two-year hiatus, the MAN Cloud Fuel Efficiency Competition makes a grand comeback with a brand-new competition format and product solutions. The competition will be divided into three groups: the express delivery group (1st - 7th), the less-than-truckload group (8th - 14th), and the cold chain group (15th - 21st), with fuel consumption competitions taking place on both plateau and plain routes. This year's competition will also simultaneously test the contestants' familiarity with MAN products and their contribution to brand promotion, and the ultimate winner will be determined based on the comprehensive results.

For this year's Cloud fuel-saving competition, MAN will rely on the locally upgraded MAN TeleMatics® system for connected vehicles and the MAN TGX series of tractors that meet the National VI standards to provide protection. The MAN TeleMatics® system of MAN Connected Vehicles is optimally designed based on the actual demands of the Chinese commercial vehicle market and users, and meets the requirements of the highest domestic data security level. This system covers functions such as vehicle management, driver management, transportation management, and operation management, and is an excellent tool for enhancing transportation efficiency. It can directly read vehicle data from the engine, monitor the driver's driving behavior and road conditions, and uniformly transmit it to the fleet manager. In this competition, with its high safety standards and customized functions deeply integrated into operational scenarios, judges will not only be able to monitor the real-time driving conditions of the contestants intuitively and efficiently, but also make more fair and rigorous judgments based on the data provided.

The MAN TGX series tractors driven by the contestants have also undergone a brand-new upgrade this year, equipped with D26 engines that meet the National VI b emission standards. This newly upgraded diesel engine has seen simultaneous improvements in both power and torque, and has adopted technical measures including increasing the compression ratio and injection pressure, reducing internal friction, and optimizing the intake and exhaust systems.
