Recently, Hongang Hoisting, in collaboration with XCMG XCA130L8C_1, has been making headlines on the Internet for its outstanding performance in the 500-kilovolt transmission and transformation new project in Yongchuan, Chongqing. The 85-meter eight-section boom was fully extended during construction, earning high praise and admiration from crane operators

This project requires hoisting 14 irregular-shaped high-voltage wire panels, each weighing approximately 3 tons, measuring about 17 meters in length and 4 meters in width, to a height of nearly 100 meters within one day. This places high demands on the lifting capacity and efficiency of the crane. However, the XCA130L8C_1 can lift the object to the designated position on average within 10 minutes.

The Hongang Hoisting team, which has been working in the hoisting industry for over a decade, when talking about the original intention of choosing this vehicle as their first 100-ton class crane, is experienced and seasoned. Our company has a lot of business in areas such as landscaping, tower erection, and bridge construction. We attach great importance to the lifting performance and boom length of cranes. This vehicle is very advanced in these aspects.

In addition, Chongqing, as a well-known mountainous city, has a complex terrain, which poses a considerable challenge to the chassis performance of cranes. The road for our project is very narrow. We have to make several turns to reach the operation area. With a capacity of 130 tons, it has strong off-road capability and turning ability. Moreover, there are many slopes in Chongqing. The five-axle four-wheel drive configuration provides stronger power and makes it easier to climb slopes.

It is understood that XCA130L8C_1 will serve in this project until the end of this year, and there are still four high-voltage power towers waiting to be installed. After the project is completed, it will not only meet the electricity demand of Yongchuan and ensure the reliability of power supply for production and daily life, but also effectively optimize the power grid structure in the Yuxi area of Chongqing. It will play a positive role in enhancing the stability of the power grid in the area, opening up new economic growth points, and promoting local economic development.
