Maintenance techniques for agricultural machinery

At present, the engines of most agricultural machinery are diesel engines, so the purification of diesel is very important. There are three methods for diesel purification. First, let the purchased diesel stand and settle for more than 96 hours. Then, when refueling, add a filter screen to the funnel and a layer of silk cloth. When taking oil from the oil drum, wrap the filter with a layer of silk cloth or typewriter wax paper, and it should be cleaned or replaced regularly.

Lubricating oil clean. It is necessary to always pay attention to using clean lubricating oil that meets the standards of this machine. The filter element of the oil filter should be cleaned regularly. For rotor-type filters, a layer of kraft paper of appropriate width and length should be pasted on the inner wall of the rotor to facilitate the adsorption of dirt under the action of centrifugal force. When cleaning the dirt adsorbed on the filter element, it is best to use a pump to inflate it, blow air from the inside out, and scrub it with a brush. Never wipe it with your hands. Grease should be clean calcium-based grease. Do not randomly add other lubricating oils.

The air is clean. When the engine is running, the cylinder sucks in 2 to 4 cubic meters of air per minute. To ensure that the air entering the cylinder is clean, it is necessary to strengthen the inspection of the air filter and clean it regularly.

The cooling water is clean. The engine cooling water is best to use soft water, such as snow, rainwater, treated tap water and clean well water, etc. When cleaning the cooling system, add 1% caustic soda and 0.5% kerosene in proportion to the water volume.

The machinery and equipment are clean. Most agricultural machinery operations are carried out in the wild or open air, frequently coming into contact with dust, sand and water, making the machine body the most prone to dirt. Therefore, it is necessary to frequently wipe and clean to prevent the body from rusting. When necessary, apply touch-up paint to avoid rusting.
