The requirements for the inspection and repair of differential parts are:

Differential housing

The differential housing is not allowed to have cracks or fractures.

2) The wear of the journal of the bearings at both ends of the differential shall not exceed 0.05mm. If it is greater than that, the inner ring of the bearing can be chrome-plated.

The wear of the cross shaft hole in the differential housing should not exceed 0.1mm. If it is greater than that, it should be surfacing welded and then processed to the standard size.

2. Differential cross shaft

The journal wear of the planetary gear installed on the differential cross shaft should not exceed 0.08mm. If it is greater than that, it can be repaired by chrome plating.

When the cross shaft of the differential has cracks or breaks, it should be replaced.

3. Differential half shaft gears and planetary gears

When the external wear of the half shaft gear journal exceeds 0.15mm, it can be repaired by chrome plating. When the key teeth are worn and the key thickness is reduced by more than 0.3mm, they should be replaced.

2) The peeling part of the gear teeth shall not exceed 1/10 of the tooth width and 1/3 of the tooth height. When the number of teeth does not exceed two and they are not adjacent, they can be trimmed and polished before continuing to be used.

The wear of the bearing holes of planetary gears should not exceed 0.12mm.
